Even before CMG Associates was founded, our principals were making their contributions felt: Mark Braverman,  Ph.D., was among the founders of the Harvard University Psychological Trauma Center. Susan  Braverman, MSW, LICSW, was a consultant with the corporate EAP at Digital Equipment Corporation who, with the help of Mark Braverman,  developed the industry's first Corporate Trauma Intervention Protocol for Digital- a program that would serve as a model to other corporations. Bruce Cedar, Ed.D., was a leader in designing and implementing innovative EAPs for companies throughout the Northeast.
We have accomplished a great deal in a short time. We have provided EAPs and violence prevention programs for Fortune 500 companies and state and Federal agencies. We have also been  called in as experts in the wake of national and international crises. Most notably, we provided trauma teams for the San Francisco Earthquake in 1989, the Shootings at the Royal Oak,  Mich. Post Office in 1991, Hurricanes Hugo (1989) and Andrew (1992), and the 1999 Earthquake in Turkey. Companies hit by violence, accidents, fires and chemical spills - even scandals and layoffs - have benefited from our help.

By stopping crises before they happen, preventing costly legal battles, and helping you keep valued employees, we absolutely affect your bottom line.
Through our core EAP services, we have helped organizations decrease turnover, reduce absenteeism and increase workplace productivity and morale. We've worked with organizations, large and small, in virtually every sector: from small manufacturing companies and community  hospitals, to huge national retail chains, and government agencies such as the U.S. Postal Service, the Department of Labor and the U.S. Army. And we have a history of leadership in violence prevention and crisis intervention. In 1999, Mark Braverman's book Preventing Workplace Violence established a new standard for the prevention of this growing threat to employee well-being.

Combined, our integrated skills set us apart in our field. When it comes to workplace issues,  CMG Associates is a powerful choice for Human Resources managers today.
