Mark and Susan Braverman to present on workplace violence

Mark Braverman, Ph.D., CMGA Principal, has been appointed to the Task Force on Workplace Violence recently established by  the American Psychological Association.

The Task Force, chaired by Julian Barling, Professor of Organizational Behaviour and Psychology at Queen's University in Ontario, Canada, is charged with compiling available research information on:

  1. the identification of factors that contribute to workplace  violence;
  2. the impact of workplace violence on today's work force;
  3. features of successful workplace violence prevention programs which provide suggestions on how to prevent and reduce workplace violence.

The Task Force is also charged with issuing a report which includes an  evaluation of current literature on the issue of workplace violence along with recommendations for future actions related to this issue.

Dr. Braverman is an internationally recognized expert on this topic, has  published two books and many articles on the prevention of workplace violence, and has consulted to Fortune 500 Companies and United States Government  Agencies. He will bring his experience as a practitioner to the Task Force, joining the other members who have distinguished themselves in research, academia, and government.
